Wood's (Chloride) Nickel Strike Plating
Wood's Nickel Strike
A Wood's nickel strike is applied to stainless steel, tool steels and heat-treated steels. This process removes oxides from the surface while at the same time depositing a thin, adherent layer of nickel. A wood's nickel strike is typically followed by other nickel plating processes to build up an acceptable level of thickness.
